Sunday gave Hammers the hardest game of the Season and Hammers had to change their tactics to take control of what started as an easy game.

Hammers started off very strong and I felt some of their better football was played. Wayne put the ball in the back of the net very early on from a free kick from the edge of the D.

A second goal came after 15minutes when Collier for a second week in a row smashed the ball from 30yards out giving the GK no chance.

A third then came from Mark Chappell after a set piece from Clarke was placed onto his freshly cut hair for a header.

Eastern Rangers then woke up and hit Hammers hard to get 2 back using the old fashioned route one, which the back 4 were unable to control.

Half time was tense and Hammers knew that they would have to pick the game up if they wanted a result.

Eastern also came out hard and after a striker was able to shake off his marker it was 3-3. Greg then came off for Pierce and Buddy moved to the left with Chappell making a back 3 with Dawson as a sweeper. This changed the game and the boys picked the pace up and played as a team once more.

A long kick from Terry gave him his first assist of the season as Budd picked it up with a great touched and from the edge of the box fired into the top right corner with 12minutes to go.

Luff then came on for Morrison and played upfront on his own with Louic dropping into the midfield.

The squad played well again and many learning points came out of this game but as a result of a 4-3 win we are now 2nd and one point behind 1st place.
